My Cooking With Kids Recipe Diary

Jake 4 years 10 months, James 2 years 2 months

We ate this with Jake, James and two of their friends. James is eating less and less variety and at times I am beginning to despair. But in fairness he's not very well at the moment so I’ll leave him out of this one.

The other 3 (ages 3, 4, 5) loved it, I just made patties in ever decreasing sizes for each of them. The pak-choi was a great success as were the long strips of carrot. The strips of vegetables is something I must do more often as the kids always love what I have taught them to call the 'vegetable pasta'. The ginger in the vegetables was a great success as well. But because I have to be completely honest, the biggest success was the sweet buns coated with Hoi-Sin sauce. They all spread the duck mixture over the top like a pate. I haven't done enough dinners they can get involved in recently. It's always more fun with something to mix, spread or sprinkle.
