My cooking with kids recipe diary

Jake 5 years 3 months, James 2 years 7 months

Jake said 'this looks like Pizza,' and he loved it. He’d never eaten red kidney beans before. He hadn’t eaten avocado either. I explained to him that it was there to be creamy and fresh, to make the spice less spicy and the meal more tasty. He really liked the idea of this, was encouraged to give it a try and he now loves it.

James had the tortilla and cheese, but wouldn’t eat the chicken. I can’t figure this one out. He will eat chicken on the bone, will also eat duck on the bone or spare ribs. But won’t eat meat when it is there sliced for him. He ate the corn, but wouldn’t have the kidney beans. This was a very long drawn out meal. I should have kept some cheese for him to grate on top himself.
